So, i joined the army in 2010, and went to basic, and infantry school, at fort benning. Musician and veteran scotty hasting is sharing his journey from army infantryman to recording artist. After graduating basic training, i went to fort riley, kansas.

While in the kandahar province of afghanistan we were on patrol and, i was shot 10 times. After years of medical treatments and fighting to try to stay in i was medically retired from military service in january of 2015. Scotty hasting is from the northern kentucky/cincinnati area. Although he was in a couple of school choirs, being a musician was never a life goal.
